Dallas getting “bucked” by injuries
The Dallas Cowboys injuries continue to pile up in Texas. The latest, Jason Witten, their 4-time Pro Bowl tight end. Witten has a fractured rib from Sundays 13-9 win over Tampa Bay. He said he suffered it in the second quarter, either on a running play, in which he had to block, or the previous play when he made an 8-yard catch. Either way, he says he is in pain, but tells his coaches he wants to play Sunday at the defending super bowl champion N.Y. Giants. Witten is leading the team in receptions with 46, and yards with 549.
Dallas already playing without the following: Tony Romo-broken pinkie, Adam Jones-suspension, left guard Kyle Kosier, defensive backs Terence Newman, and Roy Williams-broken forearm, punter Matt McBriar-broken foot, and corner back Anthony Henry now has tore his quadriceps. I think these guys must get healthy in a hurry if Dallas is to stay in the hunt for the super bowl. They have certainly had their share of injuries this year in NFL Football.
