Felix Jones ready, but not being rushed to return….
Dallas rookie running back Felix Jones, who has been out since pulling a hamstring in the 3rd quarter of an overtime loss to Arizona, is ready to play. Only problem is the Dallas medical staff is in no hurry to rush him back, just to see him reaggravate the injury and be out even longer. Jones was having a great rookie season as a return man and as backup to Marion Barber. Against Philadelphia, he had a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. When Dallas played Green Bay, he broke through for a 60-yard touchdown, very impressive for a rookie in NFL Football.
Before Jones`s injury, Dallas ranked 7th in the NFL in rushing at 138.8 yards per game. Currently they are now 12th in the NFL with 115.8 yards per game. I`m not saying he is a better back than Marion Barber, I`m just saying that it helps to have someone so explosive as Felix Jones in your backfield every game. If Jones has his way he will play Sunday. Asked if he could have practiced he said “Yeah, I felt like I could have, but rest is more important.”
