One reason for Dallas`s sudden turn around to a season that looked lost, is coming from star running back Marion Barber. Barber, who is one of the toughest backs in the NFL to bring down, is easily headed to this years Pro-Bowl. Every year his stats are getting better. His improvements are seen not only in his stats, but on the gridiron as well.

In his rookie year 2005, he had 138 rushes for 538 yards and 5 touchdowns. Remember this was just his first year of making the adjustment from college to the NFL.

In 2006, he had 135 rushes for 654 yards and 14 touchdowns. In just his second year more yards and a 9 touchdown improvement.

In 2007, he had 204 carries for 975 yards and 10 touchdowns. Remember, he had to share the ball with Julius Jones and Dallas was starting to realize that he was the premiere back of the two.

So far in 2008, he has 225 carries for 870 yards and 7 touchdowns. He should have his first 1000-yard rushing season, barring injury. This is just through 12 games and seems as the competition gets tougher, so does Barber. It is good to have Tony Romo and Terrell Owens as teammates, but Barber is looking like just another great “Dallas” back!
