NFL reinstates Pacman Jones
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell reinstated the Dallas Cowboys Adam “Pacman” Jones Wednesday, saying he will still miss the next two Cowboy games as part of his suspension. He is allowed to participate in limited action with the team on Thursday, but can not fully practice until Monday. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said “He`s a long way, a long way from having clear sailing”. Jones has missed a possible 22 NFL games out of 28, due to off the field problems.
He missed the entire 2007 NFL season due to off the field incidents as a Tennessee Titan. He was suspended again as a Dallas Cowboy as recently as the middle of October, due to an alcohol related fight with his own bodyguard assigned to him by the Dallas Cowboys. What does this tell you? Win at all costs? For someone with a history of off the field problems, Jones should not be given another chance after another chance! There are players on the practice squad that may not be asĀ talented as Jones, but would give up anything just for a chance to play one down in the NFL!! We all make mistakes and I believe everyone deserves a second chance for redemption, but time after time makes no sense at all!!!
