To make room for Jones, the Cowboys placed safety Pat Watkins on injured reserved with a neck injury that has hampered him all season long. Jones who had been suspended for an alcohol related fight with a Dallas bodyguard, joined the team earlier in the week and is now preparing for the Steelers.
His 11 pass deflections still lead the team, as well as his 27 tackles. He will play mainly in nickel and dime packages, as well as return punts due to the loss of Felix Jones. He knows his leash is short and can not make any mistakes as part of his reinstatement. When Jones is out of trouble, he is one of the most talented corners, and punt returners in the NFL. It is just staying out of trouble that seems to be his nemesis.
